Trine 3: Artifacts of Power is a platform role-playing and puzzle video game developed by Frozenbyte Action 2015, published on August 20, 2015 for Microsoft Windows. A PlayStation 4 version is ready for publication. It is the sequel to Trine 2 and has a return of the series’ three main characters and fantasy location. The game is the first in the series to introduce a fully 3D gameplay.
Like its predecessors, Trine 3: Artifacts of Power is a game of role-platform action with puzzle elements, which requires players to use the skills of three characters who come back different: Pontius, Amadeus and Zoya. Capacity ranged between characters. Pontius is a knight with a sword and a shield to defend against enemies. Zoya is a thief that is equipped with arrows and a grappling hook, while Amadeus is a wizard who has the ability to manipulate and levitate objects. Players can switch between the three characters freely playable during the campaign. Trine 3 is the first game in the series to introduce 3D gameplay, while the 2D gameplay remains the direction of the game as with previous installments. The game also includes three multiplayer cooperative players, particularly challenging levels and a level editor.
