If you are not familiar with the Yakuza games, you take on the role of Kazuma Kiryu who starts out as a low level enforcer. The game operates in a way not to dissimilar to the classic Shenmue games on the Dreamcast but set within the heart of Tokyo with more combat.
In Japan, the Yakuza games have a big following and are generally well regarded by gamers, which makes sense as we are still getting games over 10 years later.
The fact Sega is finally standing by this series in the West is definitely a great thing to see and I only hope it finds a decent sized fanbase abroad.
Yakuza Kiwami is released in the West in Summer 2017, whereas Yakuza 6 will be released in early 2018. Both games will be released .
